As the head coach at Green Set Tennis Club, Dušan Vukičević brings extensive experience from the world of tennis, both as a competitor and as a coach. Here's an overview of his tennis journey:
Competitive Achievements:
- As a junior player, Dušan Vukičević achieved significant success in Serbian, European, ITF tournaments, and college tournaments in America. He was the national champion in the age categories of 12, 14, 16, and 18 and was in the national team of Serbia in the same categories.
- He won numerous European (ETA) tournaments in the under-14 and under-16 categories, finishing the year as the 4th best-ranked player in Europe. Dušan also won many doubles tournaments in the same age groups.
- At the age of 18, he earned his first ATP point in both singles and doubles, entering the professional ATP rankings.
- He had great results in college matches in America, winning several significant matches for his college (St. John's University), including a crucial match in the final of the Big East Conference, contributing to his college's conference victory.
Coaching Experience:
- As a coach, Dušan has worked with players of all levels, from beginners to advanced competitors. His passion for tennis and dedication to player development have led to outstanding results and the continuous improvement of his players and the clubs where he has worked.
- During his time in America, predominantly in New York, Dušan gained valuable knowledge and experience working with diverse groups of players. He worked in several tennis clubs as one of the head coaches, including "Future Stars" located in Southampton. He also sparred with and prepared ATP players in America.
